In Songcast, 2 of my albums i was receiving 52 dollars per month. Well, this experience is mine and i will move on with my songs to another distributor.I thought that through LANDR i would receive my royalties properly. I just got an insight: well, maybe now they do not want to pay my youtube and facebook/tik tok royalties and come up with this bs story. I found this very weird because i already passed their review since last June 2022, so why now on December they come to me asking about a video published on youtube with melodies that looks like my song that are already registered at BMI and SongTrust. When 3 months passed, they started raising questions about videos on Youtube that could compromise my account. The problem is that even proving that my songs are registered at BMI site. I got my songs published earlier this year and the payments i got so far were minimal compared to the ones i used to received at SongCast or Tunecore. I did not get a good relationship with the support team (Owen, etc). They may offer samples and loops and have other features but overall their core business of distribution is quite frankly a shambles. I've been trying for almost 2 months to release a track to a new artist and get access to the Spotify Profile and I'm still waiting. So I have to go back and wait another day or two for a second response. Support is slow to respond and hardly ever reads the support ticket correctly first time and answers the wrong question. There is absolutely no intuitive or joined up thinking. Bach (the composer) but not my artist name (the performer). Having submitted a classical piano piece by J.S Bach under my new artist name, LANDR gives me access to Spotify for Artists to J.S. However my tracks are constantly being distributed to the wrong artist, often artists that I do not even own and I have no relationship to. I paid for the premium package (LANDR Studio) because I knew I wanted to distribute to multiple artists and Studio allows this (so it says). Aside, from these things, which, aside from the All Time tab in the stats, are minor annoyances, Landr is an excellent place to release music, and even though I don't tend to use the mastering service they provide, I have and it works quite well. That's all we'll and good, but don't think you'll be hearing from someone personally, it just feels automated. And then, it's all templates, with a name and maybe some precise info about the issue put in. Then there's the customers service, which is good, but not at all easy to get info from someone unless there's an issue with a song and they message me first. Then, for one hot second they added TikTok to the companies that they track and that added 75k streams to my count. I realize I release a ton of music, but that's why I chose Landr. Then, they make changes to the UI that break it, and make it so I can't even see the stats of all my songs. Fix it Landr, your distribution customers are important too, and musicians want full stats from our distribution service. It seems like they're sticking it to those of us who have been loyal customers and that's never good. That tells me that they have zero musicians working there, because as a musician of 30+ years, I want, now and forever, the ability to see how many streams I've had over my entire career not just the last year. So who am I to complain? One big one, is the removal of the 'All time' option for stats. I did get a good two years of free cover song releases while it lasted. First off, just out of nowhere they started charging to release cover songs, which I think it's a bit ridiculous for any distribution service but, hey, they gotta get paid. On the other hand, Landr has made some questionable changes that make stats much harder to really dive into, among a few other undesirable changes. Usually if there is an issue, I'm notified immediately. That keeps creativity flowing, when I'm not wondering if there's an issue with my release. All in all I think it is an excellent service, it rarely takes longer than a day or two to have a song go from submission to out in stores, which I love. I've been using Landr since 2018, particularly for distribution.
